John Anderson joined the FOX 29 team October 24, 2007, as co-anchor of “Good Day.”
In addition, he anchors “FOX 29 Game Day Live,” the station’s weekly Eagles football local pre-game show during the season. He’s also hosted FOX 29’s “Red October” coverage of the Philadelphia Phillies during the MLB playoffs and traveled to cover the Flyers’ 2010 Stanley Cup Finals appearance and Villanova’s trip to the NCAA Final Four.

Prior to joining FOX29, John spent seven years as morning anchor at WKYC-TV in Cleveland. Before that, John was an evening anchor in Omaha and LaCrosse, Wisconsin. He has also anchored and produced sports in Minneapolis, Grand Forks, ND and Eau Claire, WI. Included in his experience, John was a news anchor for VH-1, Showtime and USA Network.
John graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. While in Cleveland, He was Vice President of the Executive Board for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and was honored by the Society in 2003 as National Media Person of the Year.
In his spare time, one of John’s passions is cycling. John has completed 10 century rides (100 miles) and numerous other cycling events. John rode his bike 208 miles from Seattle to Portland, and 288 miles from Cleveland to Cincinnati. Most of these rides benefitted the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training program ( www.teamintraining.org ). John and his cycling teams raised over $1.5 million in the fight against cancer.
