Philadelphia - Approximately 10,000 school-aged children are living in homeless shelters in the Greater Philadelphia Area.
Help them get their academic year off to a great start by donating items at our fourth Annual "Stuff the Bus" school supplies drive, Thursday, Aug. 19, from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.
United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania will have a big, yellow school bus parked out front of the station and we want viewers to help us "stuff the bus."
Last year, the United Way stuffed more than 2,500 backpacks with school supplies for children in need. With your support, we could easily top that this year and really make a difference in the lives of homeless children.
Grades K-8 and 9-12 are looking for the following items for donation:
THANKS for your support and we hope to see you Thursday morning!
