PHILADELPHIA - In the newest issue of Ok! Magazine that hits news stands nationwide Thursday, "American Idol" judge Paula Abdul says that her contract is up and may not return next year.
When specifically asked if this was her last season of 'Idol' Abdul responded; "It is the last season of my contract, and I have so many other things I want to do. There are only so many hours in the day."
Abdul also reveals to OK! that she thinks having four judges on 'Idol' slows the show down and having four judges doesn't work.
"Kara and I have known each other for years and we get along great. But we tried four judges before and it doesn’t work. It takes up so much time for each of us to give our opinion that it slows down the pace of the show."
She goes on to tell the magazine that she is pain free for the first time in 12 years. Abdul had her 15th surgery to correct back and neck problems. She also states that she is medication free.
"I weaned myself off everything I’d been taking."
