TMZ says Sheen is suing Warner Brothers and produce Chuck Lorre on his behalf and the behalf of the "Two And A Half Men" crew.
Sheen's lawyer, Marty Singer, claims Lorre decided to fire Sheen before the actor's recent antics, because Lorre want to work on other TV shows.
Sheen was fired from “Two And A Half Men” on Monday and his employer of record, Warner Brothers, cited Sheen’s recent behavior as invalidating the contract that paid him about $2 million an episode.
TMZ said Warners’ lawyers said Sheen “committed felony offenses involving moral turpitude.”
Sheen was charged with a felony last year after a confrontation with wife Brooke Mueller, but took a plea deal in August 2010 for a misdemeanor assault charge (which is not a felony). Sheen then was accepted back at work by Warners.
On Monday, Sheen’s lawyers immediately said they would take legal action against Warners.
The biggest bombshell revealed is that Sheen allegedly has a “Michael J. Fox” clause in his contract, which allows him to get paid for men for every future episode, even if he is not on the show.
Warners and CBS haven’t said if “Men” will come back without Sheen, but \legal actions by Sheen’s team could make that problematic.
Sheen was back on the radio on Tuesday in Los Angeles pleading his case, and he appeared in public on Monday just hours after he was fired by Warner Brothers and CBS brandishing a machete on a building top.
Sheen was at the headquarters of Live Nation, the huge concert promoter, when the news came down he was fired from "Two And A Half Men."
He later appeared on the building, waving the machete and saying, "free at last" in front a small but enthusiastic crowd.
Sheen is reportedly obsessed with his father's movie "Apocolypse Now," which features a scene with Martin Sheen killing Marlon Brando with a machete.
In the moments after Warner Brothers announced Sheen was fired for cause from "Men," both sides were threatening legal action and Sheen was up to more antics.
CBS and Warner Brothers officially fired Sheen from "Two And A Half Men," even if the show comes back from hiatus. on Monday afternoon.
In a brief statement, the network and Warners said, "After careful consideration, Warner Bros. Television has terminated Charlie Sheen's services on 'Two and a Half Men,' effective immediately."
It's unknown if they will try to bring back the show without Sheen.
Last week, Sheen called in to Wired 96.5 in Philadelphia and insisted he would return to "Men" and hinted he was close to deal to rejoin the hit show.
