Report: Snooki Argued With Cops On Beach

SEASIDE HEIGHTS, N.J. - "Jersey Shore" star Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi was arguing with police before her Friday arrest in Seaside Heights, says the New York Post.



The Post cites sources on the TV show and says Snooki appeared to be intoxicated in public .

"She was drunk in public and had an argument with the officers," a source close to the cast told The Post. "This is 100 percent real, and not a set-up for the show."

That report echoes a similar account told the Fox 29 on Friday afternoon from a source at the scene.

Polizzi was hauled off the beach, booked for disorderly conduct and released when three other cast members showed up at jail.

The Post says Snooki, Jenn Farley and Deena Nicole Cortese then went out to dinner and got a police escort back to their beach house.

The same sources tell Fox 29 that Polizzi appeared to be intoxicated when she was taken away by police. She was booked around 3:30 p.m. and released at 6:30 p.m.

TMZ reported Polizzi was seen with a beer bong on the beach but it contained Coca-Cola.  She was also reported to have indulged in some "body shots" at a local bar earlier in the day. 

According to one report, borough officials were called about Polizzi getting into a disagreement with people on the beach not connected to "Jersey Shore."

Photos on TMZ from Splash Online show four cops putting Snooki into the back of a police cruiser.

She was not cited for public drunkenness. a police source told the Post that Polizzi was "under the influence."

"When she got in [the station house] she got a little better, but her behavior wasn't good," a source said.
