Gosselin Hires Son Of Sam's Lawyer

Jon Gosselin’s new lawyer had a famous client: Son Of Sam killer David Berkowitz.

Mark Jay Heller represented Berkowitz in a dispute over the killer’s memoirs.

Heller also represented Manhattan Madam Kristen Davis in 2008.

But now Heller is the new lawyer for the reality TV dad.

Heller’s first act was to debunk rumors spread by former Gosselin nanny Stephanie Santorro that she had sex with Gosselin at the house owned by Jon and Kaye Gosselin.

"The content of the story is shocking ... The tabloids don't need a stimulus package from President Obama," Heller said Wednesday. "They simply need to find a storyteller each week who is out of work and can greatly benefit by being the recipient of $100,000-plus for a hot story concerning Jon Gosselin, which, for the most part, is sensational regardless of whether or not it is verifiable or true."

Heller’s son, Mike Heller, is a high-power entertainment lawyer who now advises Jon Gosselin and also has represented Lindsay Lohan in the past.

Gosselin also is reportedly using Mark Jay Heller in his divorce case, which may be settled by October.

On Monday, Charles J. Meyer filed a petition with the Montgomery County, Pa., court system to withdraw as the counsel for Jon Gosselin in his divorce case with Kate Gosselin.

Meyer is an attorney with the Elliot Greenleaf firm in Blue Bell, Pa.

He represented Jon Gosselin on June 24 when the couple filed divorce papers outside Philadelphia.

Legally, the Gosselins live in Berks County, Pa., but they filed in neighboring Montgomery County, which has different privacy laws for divorcing couples.

Kate Gosselin filed for divorce in June, saying in papers that her 10-year marriage was "irretrievably broken."
