Ray J Tells Fox 29 About Sister’s Snub

PHILADELPHIA - Singer Ray J was on Good Day on Wednesday, the day after his sister, Brandy, was kicked off “Dancing With The Stars” instead of Bristol Palin.

Ray J said all the contestants on “Dancing” are talented, but he was shocked that his sister was eliminated after working so hard to get into the finals.

“I thought the competition would go into the finals with the best dancers,” said Ray J. “And with everyone who put in work and got perfect scores. But it’s all good, you know.”

“I think positive things will happen for Bran out of this,” he added.

But Ray J couldn’t hide the pain despite being a good sport.

“I was so hurt, I was crying, too,” he said. “I wish I was there for her.”

Ray J said he spoke with Brandy by phone right after the announcement.

“She was very sad. And think Bristol is a great person, and Jennifer and Kyle, but I just felt like Brandy worked hard to get to the finals, at least. She deserved to make it to the finals,” he said.

“I think she learned a lot from this anyway.”

Palin was selected over Brandy on the show, which gives 50 percent of the contestant overall score to fan voting.
