TMZ says Paul Teutul, Sr. is suing his son, Paul M. Teutul,
over an agreement to buy his son’s stock in Orange County
Choppers Holdings, Inc.
But according to a lawsuit in the Supreme Court of New York,
Teutul’s son won’t let Teutul, Sr. buy the stock.
Teutul, Sr. is also suing Orange County Choppers, Inc.
Teutul, Sr. wants in excess of $1 million from his oldest son,
and he wants an order from the judge forcing Paul M. Teutul to
surrender his stock.
“American Chopper” was one of the first hits of
the reality TV craze on cable TV.
Ironically, one of the last episodes of “Jon & Kate
Plus 8” with both Jon and Kate Gosselin together featured a
visit by the Teutel family to the Gosselins.
This season’s first episode on TLC showed Teutul Sr.
firing his oldest son. On the show in another episode, Paul Teutul,
Sr. also fired his youngest son, Mikey, from the business.
The Times Herald-Record of Middletown, NY., says Paul M.
Teutul agreed to sell his 20 percent ownership to his father,
according to the suit.
Since then, the two have been unable to agree on how much
that share is worth.
"It's sad it's come to this," Senior's lawyer, Richard Mahon
II, told the newspaper.
The suit also asks for an injunction barring Paul M. Teutul
from engaging in competitive business activities.
