The latest installment of the TLC docu-drama featuring Jon and Kate Gosselin drew just 2.9 million viewers, as the “American Choppers” family guest starred on the show.

The episode was heavily promoted by TLC and was also the focus of its episode of “American Choppers” last Thursday.

However, it was the lowest-rated episode of the series this season, and below ratings for the show late last season.

In all, “Jon & Kate” has lost about 7 million viewers from its Memorial Day episode that talked about Jon and Kate’s marital problems.

Since then, the show has focused mostly on Kate Gosselin. On Monday’s episode, the couple’s 8 children were seldom scene and seldom heard.

TLC has already committed to doubling the number of “Jon & Kate” episodes this season, but it was also selling “Jon & Kate” merchandise at a 15% discount during Monday’s episode.
