Teens: Miley Cyrus Is Worst Celeb

Disney star Miley Cyrus is named as the Worst Celebrity Influence on teens, in a poll of tween and teens on a popular AOL teen blog site.

If the Just So You Know Awards are any indication, Cyrus, 16, isn't seen as cool by many in the 9-15 year-old crowd, her biggest demographic.

Many were critical of a pole-dancing routine Cyrus did at the Teen Choice awards show, and of several controversial photos of Cyrus that were leaked to the Internet.

Instead, Tayor Swift, Selena Gomez, anyone involved in “Twlight” and Beyonce are highly regarded.

Cyrus received 42 percent of the vote in the Worst Celebrity Influence category, with Britney Spears getting 27 percent.

Taylor Swift and Selana Gomez were the best role models for teens.

Swift's rumored boyfriend, Taylor Lautner, was the most popular guy in several categories.

Swift was also named best singer, with Cyrus coming in fourth.

Cyrus shocked many viewers with a Teen Choice performance that featured her dancing and sometimes crouching in short shorts while grabbing a pole mounted on an ice cream truck.

Cyrus and her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, have been rumored for months to be looking to expand the young singer’s career to a wider audience.

Cyrus also presented an award to singer Britney Spears and talked about how much she liked Spears.
