OK! East Coast News Editor Shauna Bass told MyFoxPhilly.com that Jon Gosselin is in serious pursuit of a 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo in Trump Place and his cable network, TLC, would foot part of the bill.

The kicker: TLC wants to shoot video of Jon Gosselin and his children in Manhattan, with his bachelor pad as the location for these episodes.

"The premise [is]... they can film the kids visiting dad in NYC, going to FAO Schwarz, taking carriage rides, in Central Park,” says OK!. “The producers are looking forward to scouting new locations and trying something completely different."

The idea of Jon Gosselin moving, at least partially, to a new city would also set the premise for a spinoff show from “Jon & Kate Plus 8.”

However, Jon and Kate Gosselin said this week they will keep their children in their Wernersville, Pa., home as they work out their divorce settlement.

Kate Gosselin has hired a top-notch divorce lawyer but any dispute over a financial settlement would now involve TLC, if the network invests in Jon Gosselin's condo.

With TLC as the primary source of the couple's income, any prolonged custody or financial battle in the divorce settlement would be limited.

However, Jon and Kate Gosselin starting sniping at eack other publicly on Wednesday.

Jon spoke with Entertainment Tonight about Kate’s claims she had to file for divorce to "protect her children."

"I am deeply saddened that we are divorcing, and also hurt by the statement Kate made last night about the divorce. I have always done everything I can to protect our family,” Jon Gosselin told ET.

In a statement to People magazine, Kate Gosselin said, “Over the course of this weekend, Jon's activities have left me no choice but to file legal procedures in order to protect myself and our children."

Jon Gosselin told ET that he also wanted matters handled peacefully.

"The one thing I do agree with in Kate's statement is her desire to resolve things amicably. Of course emotions are running high for both of us right now, but for the sake of our children and our family's privacy, I hope that we can both limit our public comments about the legal proceedings going forward."

He also told ET he spent Father’s Day alone with his eight children.

Kate Gosselin also said she is willing to "negotiate a fair and reasonable" settlement with Jon.

She has picked People magazine as her exclusive media outlet and the magazine is heavily promoting its exclusive interview with Kate, on newsstands this Friday, conducted just a few days before the divorce announcement.

"On a good day, I feel relief," Kate told People. "On a bad day, I feel failure."

Kate Gosselin also told People that the children have been told about the divorce.
