Kate Gosselin Loses Clothing Line Deal

It’s been a bad week for Kate Gosselin: She’s lost her clothing line just days after her cookbook was put on the back burner.

First, her cook book was canned. Then, ratings for "Jon & Kate Plus 8" fell 90 percent.

Now, Radar Online says her clothing line deal with Healthex is on hiautus.

"Our project is on hold while she focuses on her family," Healthtex rep Scott Pryzwansky told RadarOnline.com.

However, on Wednesday, the reality show mom was seen munching on scallops and drinking a martini just outside Washngton, D.C.

Gosselin, 34, was hawking the line as recently as May on the Rachael Ray Show. She handed out a gift bag that contained what Ray described as "a Healthtex outfit [Kate] helped design and create."

The similar clothing line is now available at Wal-Mart, but Gosselin is reportedly not involved.

On Tuesday, Christian publisher Zondervan delayed Kate's cook book.

The book was to be published in November 2009, but need changes. Its selling point: "inside look at one of America's most famous close-knit families."

The CEO of Zondervan, Maureen Girkins, said it plans to "work with Kate to reassess the schedule for her next book."

The cook book has also been dogged by allegations its recipes had appeared on the back of consumer products, and claims by relatives that Kate Gosselin can’t cook.
