Reporter Quits, Jon Says She Lied

The reporter who said Jon Gosselin is her new boyfrend is now out of a job, after sources close to Gosselin denied any relationship between the two.

Radar Online said that Kate Major quit at Star magazine on Thursday afternoon, and that Jon Gosselin is furious that Major went on the Star Magazine Web site and said she was dating him.

"Oh my God, I can't believe she did this to me," a source told Radar was Jon's reaction. "What do I do? She's totally (bleeping) me over?"

In another odd media moment, People magazine called Gosselin's current girlfriend, Hailey Glassman, and broke the news to her that Gosselin apparently had another girlfriend.

On Thursday, People called Glassman, 22, to get her reaction to Major's claims.

That tidbit was news to a shocked Glassman, who was holding hands and kissing the father of eight just last weekend, and moved to New York City to be close to Jon Gosselin.

People described Glassman as being in tears and saying that she still loved Gosselin and he loved her.

Jon Gosselin is legally married to but separated from Kate Gosselin, 34, the controversial mother of their eight children.

Early on Thursday, Major reported on Star magazine’s Web site that Jon Gosselin is dating her, too.

Major and Gosselin were out to dinner last night in Long Island with Michael Lohan and one of the stars of “Real Housewives.”

"I didn't mean it to happen, it just did," Major, 26, said on the Web site. "I went to do a story on Jon and ended up falling for him."

Star claimed that Jon has already dumped Hailey Glassman for Major, even though Glassman just moved to New York, blocks away from Jon Gosselin’s bachelor pad.

Major and Gosselin were believed to be working on an article for Star that would tell his side of the marriage breakup.

The story of a possible relationship will raise eyebrows, especially since other gossip outlets like Us Magazine and Radar Online routinely beat Star on stories about the Gosselins.

Jon Gosselin, 32, has already moved into the Alexandria Building on the city’s Upper West Side.

One bedroom condos start at about $1 million there. Jon Gosselin reportedly has a 2 bedroom condo just off Broadway.

Gosselin and Glassman had been linked for about one month. Jon Gosselin, 32, is still legally married but separated from Kate Gosselin.
