BALA CYNWYD, Pa. - She is known around the world by one name – "Bombshell."
Michele "Bombshell" McGee is the woman who confessed to an affair with reality TV star Jesse James, leading to the end of his marriage to actress Sandra Bullock.
Now, she is in our area.
Standing behind her Thursday morning during an appearance on "Good Day" was celebrity fight promoter Damon Feldman.
McGee takes on adult film star Gina Lynn at "Celebrity Wrestling 1" Friday at 8 p.m. at Pennant East in Bellmawr, N.J.
Fox 29's Jennaphr Frederick said to McGee, "First of all, obviously you recognize that forever you are going to be known as, sadly enough, the home-wrecker – you're the one that destroyed Sandra Bullock's marriage, destroyed everyone's image of Jesse James. How do you feel about that?"
McGee answered, "Since you put it so nicely, yes, it sucks that I'm going to be known for that but, you know, what am I – what am I going to do?"
Asked if she has told her children about it, McGee said, "I'm a mom. I have two kids. And the younger one, he's five; he doesn't really know too much what's going on. But the older one's 12, he knows a little bit. But when they get older I'll explain, you know, in appropriate ways what happened."
As for her reaction to the People Magazine cover photo that revealed for the first time Bullock with her newly adopted child, McGee said, "I was really sad."
"I felt really sad for Sandra. You know, adopting a baby, I really felt for her. I felt bad. You know, it's a baby, it's supposed to be a happy time for her and she's dealing with all of this mess. So, I wish her the best."
McGee added that at the time she was with James she didn't know he and Bullock were together.
"I was under the impression that we were together, we were in a relationship. He made it clear they were separated, they were not together," she said.
Frederick said that there was lots of stuff reported about McGee in the tabloids and online without her comment such as, what was disturbing to many people, "Bombshell" being portrayed as a Nazi sympathizer and anti-Semitic.
McGee said her kids "did hear about that. They see more in the magazines. You know, I'd like to say that I am not a Nazi. It's very hurtful for people to say that still. I'm hoping that I clear all that stuff up. But it's very hurtful for people to still say that stuff."
Has she ever been in a fight before?
"Yes, not a professional fight, though," McGee said.
And does she think she's going to win?
"Absolutely, no doubt," she replied.
Many seemed to be upset with McGee but even more so with James, Frederick said. Despite the tough exterior, are people surprised to learn that "Bombshell" is actually a nice person?
"Yeah, I'm not surprised because I am a nice person," McGee said. I think my pictures come off a little bit harsh, but I am really sweet and nice, and I'm not the villain that they all portray me to be," she said.
Feldman, who was recently indicted in Pennsylvania on allegations of fixing boxing matches, made it clear during the interview, "Remember, I'm entertainment, wrestling entertainment."
Frederick asked if that mean he's already figured out who's going to win.
"Come and watch it," Feldman said. "Just like what Howard Stern said yesterday, I told him, 'Come and watch it.'"
