Wedding Being Held For Charity

We all know how expensive weddings can be. And these days there are plenty of brides who would love to have the type of wedding a local couple is about to have.

This is a follow up to a story Fox 29 brought you months ago, as the Omni Hotel along with local venders accepted bids on eBay for a wedding package, with all the money benefiting Alex's Lemonade Stand.

Joining "Good Day Philadelphia" on Wednesday were the happy couple, Katie McIntyre of Northeast Philadelphia and Sean Mooney of Glenside, along with Omni General Manager A.J. Williams III.

The couple spoke about made them decide to bid $34,100 on the package, which is worth more than $50,000, and how competitive the bidding was.

It's an interesting concept because the couple gets what they want, and it's extra special because they're helping to fight the battle against childhood cancer. The bride and flower girl even get couture dresses.
