Pa. Budget Standoff In Third Week

HARRISBURG, Pa. - As another day goes by, more than 70,000 state workers and even area colleges are waiting to get an update on the state budget.

They're worried they won't get paid if an agreement isn't reached soon.

So what is the hold up?

Joining "Good Day Philadelphia" Thursday morning live from Harrisburg were two lawmakers right in the middle of it, Republican state Rep. Mike Vereb and Democratic state Sen. Vincent Hughes.

There are several proposals in the works, and we thought we'd let you hear from opposite sides of the spectrum, if you will.

The House and Senate have to ultimately come to an agreement, but word is that the two sides are miles apart.
