James "Bubba" Frigo, Jr. suffers from a blinding disease. But that's not stopping him from fulfilling his goal of biking across the country this summer.
Frigo graduated from high school in June and took off from San Diego for his cross-country adventure.
Frigo is slowly losing his vision but is not completely blind. He told Mike he wanted to see the country before his eyesight disappears. He averages about 100 miles a day. He hopes to arrive in New York City by Thursday. "Bubba's" dad is proud of his son and says he is "so optimistic, has a great outlook." Dad has been biking along side "Bubba." Mom follows in a motor home.
