PHILADELPHIA - Now, we all know how arthritis can affect people, but what about animals?
Arthritis can take quite a toll on our beloved dogs and cats. Over 14 million pets have arthritis in the United States but only 1.5 million pets are being treated.
Dr. Carlos Hodges, a veterinarian at Valley Central Veterinary Referral Center in Whitehall, Pa., showed "Good Day" Thursday morning some glucosamine products that can be used to treat arthritis in dogs and cats. Aspirin-like drugs used to treat arthritis, as well.
Joining him to demonstrate were Daisy, a 10-month-old doxie mix, and Peanut, a 15-week-old fox terrier.
