CAMDEN, N.J. - The Red Bull Flugtag is like the Mummers' Parade meets the Wildwater Kingdom.
This weekend, the Camden side of the Delaware River waterfront will host the event.
In other cities more than 100 thousand people have gathered to see the home made crafts crash into water.
On Friday morning, Fox 29's Jennaphr Frederick decided to give it a try.
Riding a replica of an oversized Philly soft pretzel, complete with mustard-packet wings and salt, JennFred took to the air -- and quickly the Delaware River -- during her epic flight on live TV.
Don't worry folks. She says she's just fine. (See the second video above, and then the third clip shows her flight from a second angle.)
Saturday's flugtag event opens to the public at 11 a.m., and at 1 p.m. the contest starts. The event is totally free, although traffic might be an issue.
Judges like Ben Franklin will decide the winner. One craft looks like the Phillie Phanatic, and there could be drama because MLB.com's lawyers say the idea won't fly due to copyright issues.
