Dream Wedding Winners: Faye & Matthew

More than 21,000 individuals voted for their favorite Philly couple to win the Philly.com "Love of a Lifetime" wedding giveaway worth more than $90,000. Matthew and Faye - who posted a picture with bulldog, Tyson, and created a Facebook page titled "Matthew and Faye's Crazy Bid to Win a Wedding" - ultimately came out on top of the 488 contestants and will be married on Sunday, May 23, 2010 at the Independence Seaport Museum.

The package includes all the necessities for a memorable and unique wedding, compliments of some of the region's top wedding and event specialists, including catering for 200, rings, flowers, photography, videography, entertainment, and more.

The same voters who chose Matthew and Faye will now get to make final selections for the bride and groom on many aspects of the day, including the menu, dress, tux, invitations, rings, flowers and cake.

Faye Allard, a 32-year old sociology professor at Montclair State University was born in London and moved to Philadelphia in 2001. She met Matthew Glass, a 26 year old graduate student, at a friend's party in 2007 and they were engaged in December 2009. "Matthew and Faye's Crazy Bid to Win a Wedding" attracted nearly 600 friends from around the globe. Their bid was even featured on an Irish radio station and on the national Chi Phi fraternity homepage.
