Melissa Cassera is a nutrition and wellness consultant. She shared some ideas on how to cut calories at the ball park on "Good Day."

Here are some things to consider. If there is a choice between a hot dog or nachos, choose the hot dog. It has about 350 calories versus 800 for cheesy nachos. Cassera also recommends using mustard rather than ketchup and relish, which contains sugar.

Drinks pack a lot of calories. Cassera says try drinking a bottle of water in between each beer or soda and you will cut a lot of calories. A lot of people don't realize a 32-ounce beer has 350 calories.

Popcorn also packs a powerful calorie punch. Cassera suggests opting for a 310-calorie pretzel, rather than 1,600-calorie popcorn.

Cassera said you may want to bring a few healthy things to snack on. And chewing gum can also help you avoid high-fat food.
