The world's top competitive eaters hit the ring at the Wells Fargo Center to see how many chicken wings they can manage.

The Babe Ruth of competitive eating told Fox 29's Colleen Wolfe that has ate 200 wings every day for several weeks leading up to Friday's competition.

Kobayashi racked up a record 337 wings tin the 20th annual event. The previous record was 255 wings last year eaten by Super Squibb.

Squibb came in second this year with 271 wings.

Kobayashi has been in Philadelphia for two weeks, doing interviews and eating.

The "Tsunami" is a health nut who lifts weighs to keep his 128-pound frame in eating shape.

He also told Fox 29 he wants to return next year to defend his title and win another $20,000 cash prize.
