Latest On Prescription Drug Shortage

A prescription drug shortage is so bad that patients are at risk because hospitals can't fill the scripts they need.

On Friday, Fox 29 spoke with a cancer patient scared of being forced to go without her medicine.

The FDA says the main reason for the shortage is production shutdown of manufacturing plants because of contamination issues.

But is that it?

Dr. Anthony Mazzarelli of Cooper University Hospital explains how contamination may be a factor making us low on drug supplies.
