Swedesboro Company Laying Off Hundreds

Company Blames 'Industrial Sabotage'

SWEDESBORO, N.J. - There could be hundreds of workers here in our area laid off for the holidays.

Employees of DGI Services in Swedesboro, N.J., tell us they just found out they're out of jobs at the direct-mailing company.

FOX 29's Omari Flemming talked to some who are bracing for an unhappy holiday.

According to a termination letter shown to FOX 29, employees won't be getting severance packages and didn't get 60 days notice that they would lose their jobs because the company is shutting down, although that is mandated by the New Jersey "Warn Act."

The last day of work for employees will be sometime between now and Dec. 31.

The company blames "industrial sabotage" as its reason for closing up shop.
