Video Game Generation Taking Over

Don't Be So Quick To Make Kids Turn Off Games

So, how are video games affecting children? Well new research suggests the generation of people now entering the workforce have the upper hand because of video games.

Beyond having a strong thumb and quick reaction, the research shows young people were shaping their views on life.

"Eventually they become accustomed to seeing the world through that set of lenses where it's important to act, to accomplish something, where it's important to take a big risk in order to receive a big pay off," Hawaii Pacific University Assistant Professor Gerald Voorhees said.

It also found that the gamer generation understands and appreciates the role of the hero much better than previous ones, giving them a better shot at reaching CEO levels in business.
