Toys R Us To Offer Trade-In Program

It's not exactly Cash for Clunkers, but Toys R Us will offer manufacturers coupons to customers who bring in used children's equipment such as cribs and high chairs.

Starting Friday and over the next three weeks, the coupons will offer 20 percent discounts for 16 manufacturers' products.

Customers can trade in any used crib, car seat, bassinet, stroller, travel system, play yard or high chair.

CEO Gerry Storch says the program is slated to end Sept. 20, but could be extended.

Participating manufacturers include Baby Cache, Eddie Bauer, Evenflo and Graco, among others.
