Eagles: Stacy Andrews Here For Exam

The Philadelphia Eagles confirm that free agent offensive tackle Stacy Andrews is in Philadelphia for a physical.

The Web site ProFootballTalk.com reported earlier that the Eagles had signed Andrews, the older brother of Shawn Andrews, to a long-term contract valued at $7 million per season.

The Eagles later said that Andrews was only in town for a two-day physical on his injured right knee.

But the team clearly is interested in signing the former Cincinnati Bengals star to play right tackle as the replacement for Jon Runyan.

Earlier today, Runyan told ESPN Sports Radio 950 he understood that the Eagles had made a business decision, and he hoped to be able to sign with an NFL team after June, if he could pass a physical at that time.

Runyan is also recovering from knee surgery.
