Fox 29 Field Guide To The Gosselins
The reality TV mom compares Jon Gosselin to a 15-year-old boy
and says she is “mortified” by Hailey Glassman,
Jon’s new girlfriend.
"I don't care if (Glassman) were the most upstanding,
marvelous, full-of-integrity person in the world, it is just too
soon," Kate said.
But Gosselin saves her harshest words to Stephanie Santoro,
the part-time model and bartender hired by Jon Gosselin as a
fill-in babysitter.
"I should not be sitting a mile from my house while my kids
are away with some girl, who, by the way, brings her own child with
her," Kate said. "I'm sorry, your child and eight of mine -- no
way."
Kate Gosselin called police about Santoro two weeks ago, but
police then asked Kate to leave the family’s compound in
Wernersville, Pa. after speaking with Jon Gosselin’s
attorneys.
Jon Gosselin also questioned Kate Gosselin’s appearance
on “Larry King” on Tuesday and told reporters he would
go on the King show.
"She didn't say anything," Jon Gosselin said. "She just kept on redirecting and avoiding the questions -- so when Larry's ready for me, I can answer questions.”
Last night, Kate Gosselin struggled with King, as the iconic TV interviewer didn’t pull any punches in an interview that had tense moments. (She also had a tough time with former "View" moderator Meredith Vieira on the "Today" show.)
Things got testy when King stated asking pointed questions about why the Gosselins let the TLC cable network film their lives.
When he asked Kate about Jon Gosselin’s apparent decision to stop taping the show, it became awkward.
“Jon’s opinions and goals are his, but (the show) has been a good experience for the kids,” Kate Gosselin said, as she openly defended TLC.
When King pressed Kate Gosselin about the show’s future, she became tight lipped.
“I’m not the person to make the decision… that would be a question for the network,” Gosselin said.
“Why are you letting the network run you?” King responded.
Kate Gosselin then repeated the same answer.
Kate Gosselin also would not confirm if TLC would renew her show next year and what her career plans would be if the show was cancelled.
“I have big dreams,” Kate Gosselin said about her
future.
The couple will be divorced by the end of September, adding
to speculation that TLC will focus its efforts on Kate Gosselin as
Jon Gosselin leaves the show.
