Ramsey Talks 'Pressure Point' Progress

New Initiative Led To Dozens Of Weekend Arrests

PHILADELPHIA - A new initiative is under way to crack down on crime in Philadelphia's most dangerous neighborhoods.

 

Over the weekend, police launched "Operation Pressure Point."

Philadelphia police, along with state and federal agencies, are teaming up to target high crime areas in the city.

Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey told "Good Day Philadelphia" the program is off to a good start. He says there were dozens of arrests, including those of some parolees.

The commissioner says crime in Philadelphia is down 13 percent so far this year.
