How To Contact Council About DROP
On August 3, 2010, Philadelphia mayor Michael Nutter asked City Council to hold a special session to end the city's controversial DROP retirement program.
On January 19, 2011, Council still hasn't tackled the DROP issue.

A special report found DROP had cost taxpayers $258 million over the past 10 years.
However, City Council leader Anna Verva said she won't bring the issue up before council until it receives a second report. (Verna is scheduled to get $584,000 from the DROP program).

For the record, seven Council members are in the program: Verna ($584,000); Tasco ($467,566); DiCicco ($392,194); Reed-Miller ($190,099); Rizzo ($188,873); Kelly ($299,163) and Krajewski ($297,466).
