PHILADELPHIA - Some Asian-American students who boycotted South Philadelphia High School for eight days went back to school Wednesday.
The students have said they fear for their safety after recent racial attacks on almost 30 Asian students in and near the school.
On Wednesday morning, a large group of those students walked hand-in-hand back into the school, Fox 29's Nefertiti Jaquez reported.
They decided to return after meeting Tuesday with school officials and a human rights commission.
The students said they felt they made a strong statement with their boycott. Those who spoke to us said they were just glad to have everyone back at school.
School officials said they would add four security officers and 60 security cameras.
