Chinese state media is reporting more than 400,000 people need to be relocated after a quake jolted southwestern China, destroying thousands of homes.
The Xinhua News Agency reports yesterday's magnitude-6.0 quake killed one person and injured hundreds more. Some 18,000 homes were leveled and 75,000 more damaged.
China's civil affairs ministry has ordered 5,000 tents and other relief aid on top of the 4,000 tents and 3,000 quilts already allocated to the quake-prone region.
Nine aftershocks have rolled through since the original quake, the latest registering a 5.2-magnitude.
