Baby Thrown From Car During Dispute

Child Not Hurt In Incident

PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia Police Special Victims Unit is investigating how a 9-month-old baby was thrown from a car in Juniata Park.

It happened on the 1300 block of East Erie Avenue, near El Street, just before 3 p.m. Wednesday.

Police say the two women were arguing inside a car when the driver ordered the passenger out of the vehicle.

After the woman refused to leave, police said the driver pulled the car over and threw the baby, who was in a child safety seat, out onto the sidewalk.

The baby was not hurt in the incident, but was taken to St. Christopher’s Hospital for evaluation.

The women were questioned by police. No charges have yet been filed.
