Suspect Sought In Officers' Dragging

PHILADELPHIA - Police are looking for a career criminal who assaulted two 18th District officers.

It happened on the 200 block of S. 48th Street in West Philadelphia Friday night.

Investigators said 26-year-old Allan Thomas pushed, punched and kicked the officers numerous times after being pulled over. A struggle ensued and Thomas was able to break free from the officers and reenter his car.

Police said Thomas then gunned his accelerator with the officers still attached.

The officers were dragged fifteen feet along the street. They weren't seriously hurt.

Fox 29 News is told Thomas was on house arrest with 17 prior convictions.

Anyone with information of Thomas' whereabouts is asked to call police.
