The AP reports that Donovan McNabb and Terrell Owens will team up on a cable TV show, seemingly ending their once-public feud while members of the Philadelphia Eagles.
McNabb and Owens will be part of a three-man basketball team that takes on three former pro players on Spike TV's "Pros vs. Joes” show later this spring.
McNabb, Owens and Antonio Gates of the San Diego Chargers will take on Hakeem Olajuwon, Kenny Smith and Rick Fox in a half-court basketball game.
Two weeks ago, Owens said he had been hanging out with McNabb in the offseason in an interview.
Normally, such talk could lead to speculation in Philadelphia, where Owens and the Eagles had a bitter split in 2005.
But on Monday, the Eagles signed third receiver Jason Avant to a long-term deal.
It’s unknown if Owens would settle for a part-time on-field role for an NFL team.
Owens, 37, is a free agent and had been rumored to be in talks with the Cincinnati Bengals. But Owens has not yet found a new NFL team.
One other note: McNabb, Owens and Gates were all accomplished college basketball players, so the contest with the three former NBA stars could be spirited.
