PHILADELPHIA - City Controller Alan Butkovitz released a report Wednesday stating that he found a number of vendors paid by Philadelphia schools owe back taxes.
Additionally, the controller found out that 66 out-of-state school vendors are not registered to do business in the city.
A total of 145 Pennsylvania businesses also lack the proper registration, Butkovitz said. And 64 unregistered businesses here in the city also do not have the proper permits to work with the school district.
