UPPER DARBY, Pa. - Police believe a Delaware County man about to be arrested on child porn charges has fled the country, and they think his wife and two children may be with him.
Police removed Jose Oyarzun's computer from his Upper Darby home last month.
Oyarzun was initially charged with 13 counts of Possessing Child Pornography, felonies of the third degree, and two counts of Dissemination of Child Pornography, felonies of the second degree on February 24.
On March 10, Delaware County District Attorney G. Michael Green and the Delaware County CID Internet Crimes Against Children Unit issued a "Be On the Look Out" (BOLO) alert for Oyarzun. Authorities put out the BOLO after they received information that Oyarzun may have left the area. He has not reported to his job at Cooper Hospital and his 13 year-old son has not been seen at school.
Early on March 11, the complaint was amended to add 74 additional counts of Possessing Child Pornography. That same day officials contacted Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and learned that Oyarzun had indeed left the country. On February 18, he boarded a plane at JFK airport. The flight landed in Madrid, Spain. It is not clear if Madrid was his final destination.
Officials believe he may be with his wife, Elezasene Oyarzun, a Portuguese national, and possibly their two children, a 13-year old son and a 4-year old daughter.
If you know where Oyarzun is, call Upper Darby police or 911.
