Soda Tax Protest Held During Parade

PHILADELPHIA - Members of the Teamsters Local 830 were protesting the mayor's plan to tax soda, during the St. Patrick's Day Parade.

They held signs and handed out flyers to spectators urging people to speak out against the plan.

"We understand that the city is broke. We get it. But it can't just be on the backs of my members. He's got to figure something else out," said Dan Grace, of the Teamsters.

The Teamsters say the plan will threaten their jobs.

The mayor says the tax is needed to balance the city's budget.
