Profane Graffiti Rampage Investigated

Police in New Castle County are investigating 15 cases of vandalism where buildings, homes and cars were damaged by graffiti.

The vandalism rampage happened overnight Friday into early Saturday, said police.

Several homes and cars had profane words spray painted on them in the communities of Salem Woods and Country Creek in Newark.

During the same time frame, buildings and other items at the Pike Creek County Club in Wilmington had profanity spray painted on them.

Investigators do not think the case at the Country Club is related to those in Salem Woods and Country Creek.

Police are working to find suspects and are asking for the public's help.

Anyone with information is asked to call New Castle County Police at 395-8110 or the Graffiti Tip Line at 571-7332.
