Reporter: Cop Made Controversial Remarks

A Temple journalism student and a rookie Philadelphia cop are embroiled in controversy Monday night.

The student interviewed the cop during a ride along and her article paints a very disturbing picture of the young officer's beliefs.

Fox 29's Claudia Gomez spoke to the student who wrote the article, Temple senior Shannon McDonald Tuesday.

According to McDonald, the young white officer made disparaging remarks and used expletives to describe the residents in the largely black and troubled neighborhood where he patrols.
