Racist Graffiti Outbreak Investigated

Vandals are spreading a message of hate in Bucks County. Vehicles and homes are being targeted and police want to know who is behind it.

They've struck two dozen times within two days in Tullytown and Bristol Township. People there are wondering if the vandals will strike again, reported Fox 29’s Nefertiti Jaquez.

Instead of spending his Saturday morning relaxing, Bill Werline spent it scrubbing white spray paint off of his pick-up truck.

"For somebody to come and just spray something on it, it’s just, you shouldn’t do it on my turf," says Werline.

While his Dodge Ram looks spotless now, Bill showed Fox 29 pictures of what it looked like earlier when vandals spray painted swastikas on it.

"When I backed up, I looked over like this and there’s a giant swastika looking at me," says Werline.

To make matters worse, Bill's truck has been hit twice. And he's not alone.

Police say vandals ran amok, damaging at least eight cars and homes in the Tullytown neighborhood.

"It's not right. People work hard for what they earn. The symbol, itself, is a symbol of hate," says another resident.

That symbol of hate is also showing up in nearby Bristol Township where police say more than a dozen people have been victimized.

"Why do they have to do that? We work for this, what we have. We work to live here," says resident Nickloa Radyshewski.

Now residents in both towns are left wondering why someone would want to wreak havoc on their once-quiet neighborhood.

"How do I know I'm not next? So I have to sit out there with a baseball bat?" asks Radyshewski.

Many residents believe a group of teenagers is behind the graffiti rampage, but police say they're not sure. If you know anything, you're asked to give them a call.
