Patrons-turned-witnesses were later telling police the violent tale.

"Everyone was coming out and there were people crying for a baby," one witness said.

"It was real smoky, and the truck was in there and there was a lot of debris," said another witness, Wendall Hall.

Police are looking into whether driver may have suffered a seizure, causing him to lose control and plow into the King Buffet restaurant.

Two children were airlifted to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. There's no word on the extent of their injuries.

Pottstown Police Capt. F. Richard Drumheller said of the driver,  "He the came right down Shoemaker Road, just missed the iron, and went right through the window."

Within minutes, medics arrived and rushed the victims to nearby hospitals by ground and by air.

All that's left were the skid marks of the truck that police said could have killed someone. The restaurant's windows were boarded up by Sunday night.

"It’s a very good thing that nobody was killed. You can see this had the potential of injury and death," Drumheller said.
