WILMINGTON, Del. - Officials say a 2004 letter sent by the half-sister of a Delaware pediatrician charged with raping or sexually abusing more than 100 children included allegations that Earl B. Bradley fondled girls he treated.
Chief Deputy Attorney General Charles E. Butler tells The News Journal of Wilmington that the letter sent by Lynda Barnes contains "an allegation of improper touching." Butler's office has a copy of the letter.
The Medical Society of Delaware had previously said the letter did not mention "improper touching" or anything deemed reportable to state officials. The Attorney General's office has been looking into what was known at the time and whether anyone failed to report unprofessional conduct as required by state law.
