Serial BB Gun Shooter Prowls NJ

Police in Gloucester Township are on the hunt for the suspect who shot a BB gun at joggers in Veterans Park this weekend.

What's shocking is the park is right next to the police department that clearly has surveillance cameras around.

But that didn't stop pranksters from playing a potentially dangerous trick on two unsuspecting people

Around 9:30 p.m. Sunday, one of those joggers was the victim of three young adults who police say shot the man several times with a BB gun.

The victim was lucky to suffer only a stinging sensation and minor bruising.

Minutes later another person called police. They were shot at sex or seven times and hit while walking at an apartment complex nearby on Broadacres Drive.

In both incidents, the shots were fired from a passing SUV.

Police say that SUV they are looking for is small and gray, maybe a Pontiac Vibe or Honda CRV.

They're looking for three white male suspects. It is unknown if more than one person is the shooter.

Police say the victims refused treatment on the scene but are okay .
