Car Hits Boy, 4, Riding Bikes With Dad
Authorities: Dad Also Struck, Broke His Shoulder
PHILADELPHIA - A 4-year-old riding his bike alongside his dad got hit by a car Thursday morning on the Ben Franklin Parkway.
The boy suffered a fractured skull at the intersection of 23rd and the parkway just before 11 a.m., police said.
The child was rushed to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, where he was listed in critical condition Thursday afternoon.
His father was also struck by the car and broke his shoulder, officials said.
