PHILADELPHIA - The suspect in the rape of an 11-year-old girl in Kensington is out of the hospital.
Officers transported 26-year-old Jose Carrasquillo to the police department's Special Victims Unit Thursday afternoon.
Carrasquillo was hospitalized after a dozen neighbors beat him Tuesday before he could be arrested.

At the time, he was being sought as a "person of interest" police wanted to question in connection with the rape of an 11-year-old girl walking to school in Kensington.
The police commissioner has since called Carrasquillo a suspect, but he has yet to be charged in connection with Monday's attack, although counts are said to be pending.
Commissioner Charles Ramsey said investigators have forensic evidence and witness identification placing him at the crime scene.
Police said they're also investigating whether Carrasquillo may have been involved in the reported groping of a student outside Kensington Creative and Performing Arts High School.
Police said Thursday there will be no charges against the neighbors who took part in his capture. Ramsey said he made the decision based on the severity of the man's injuries. He also factored in the neighbors' intent and the high level of emotion in the community.
The girl, who underwent surgery after Monday's sexual attack, is now home after being released from the hospital Wednesday.
