A student at Frankford High School has tested positive for tuberculosis, but officials say the situation is under control.
Philadelphia School District discovered over the student, who had checked in to a hospital had been tested, was found to have tuberculosis.
The hospital informed the Philadelphia health department, which in turn told the Philadelphia School District.
The school district has notified the community with letters to parents and staff, and has identified the individuals who need to be tested to ensure that they haven't been exposed.
Students who shared a classroom for more than two or more periods and the staff will need to be tested, officials said.
