Kate AWOL On Big Gosselin Day

Kate Gosselin is apparently in hiding as she and Jon are expected to announce their split tonight.

TLC has promised a huge announcement on Monday night's “Jon & Kate Plus 8” and RadarOnline has reported the couple is divorcing.

But on Sunday, Jon Gosselin told media outside his Wernersville, Pa., home he had “no idea” where his wife is.

Instead, Jon Gosselin gabbed with photographers and signed autographs for fans on Sunday near his driveway. But he wouldn't answer questions about his marriage.

“Watch the show,” Jon told fans who asked about the rumored split.

Kate was absent also on Saturday when one of the couple's kids had a minor injury and needed to go the ER.

Both feuding spouses are reportedly consulting with attorneys about the split, which could have huge financial implications for the family of 10.

Ratings for their “documentary” show are down 70 percent for the record-setting season premier. The show is also under investigation in Pennsylvania for violating child-labor laws.

Their combined assets could be as much as $10 million based on their deal with TLC and outside book and promotions deals.

But the family's image as a conservative, wholesome brood fighting the odds has been shattered amid reports of alleged infidelity and high spending.

The couple is rarely seen together, even at their estate near Reading, Pa.

People said jon Gosselin returned to Wernersville, Pa., on Friday after looking for an apartment in New York City on Thursday.

A source told People that Gosselin was at Trump Place on Manhattan's Upper West Side looking at an apartment.

Also, new video from TLC shows the Gosselins talking about their alleged break up in a special episode that airs this Monday.

The network is now heavily promoting the one-hour special about a huge announcement about the future of Jon and Kate Gosselin.

In the TLC clip, Jon and Kate Gosselin each talk in general terms about their problems and that some type of life-altering change is coming.

“We haven’t really known where are going. We have been dealing with this for a long time. It’s not a secret,” says Kate Gosselin, apparently about the couple’s marital problems.

“It just got worse and worse and worse, with all the tabloids,” Jon Gosselin said.

We can’t go back. We can only go forward,” Kate Gosselin said. “We will learn a lot going forward and we will come out if this on the other side hopefully stronger, better, wiser,” Kate added.

“People think I have changed. And I have changed. But I am now the person I know I am,” said Jon.
