Child Hospitalized After Near Drowning

RIVERSIDE, N.J. - A child is recovering after a near drowning at a Burlington County swim club.

It happened at the Riverdel Swim Club in Riverside, New Jersey at 4:10 p.m. Friday.

The four-year old boy was airlifted to Cooper University Hospital.

Riverside Police say the child was holding onto the pool wall, when he slipped off. A lifeguard saw the child go under water and dove in after him. Police say the child was not breathing when he was pulled from the water. A member of the club administered C-P-R and the child started breathing.

There is no word on the child's condition.
