The call came at 3:21 PM ET from Jackson’s house in
Holmby Hills, Ca.
“I need an ambulance as soon as possible, sir,” says an unidentified voice.
“We have a gentleman here who needs help and he’s not breathing. He’ s not breathing and we are trying to pump him.”
After confirming some details, the 911 responder asks the person to remove Jackson from a bed and place him on a floor.
The person at the house then tells the 911 responder that a personal doctor is at the scene.
“He’s not responding to anything. He’s not responding to CPR or anything, sir.”
“If your guy is there and he’s doing CPR, he’s a higher authority than me,” says the 911 responder.
“Did anybody witness what happened,” asks the 911 responder.
“No, just the doctor, sir. The doctor has been the only one here,” says the person at the house.
The responder then asks the person to ask the doctor if he saw what happened
The doctor can be heard in the background yelling, “they need to come.”
The person then says, “he’s pumping his chest but he’s not responding to anything.”
The responder then says, “we are less than a mile away and we’ll be there.”
TMZ.com is reporting that the painkiller Demerol could have triggered a fatal reaction that killed Jackson.
The Jackson family believes an attending physician gave Jackson a daily dose of the synthetic painkiller at 2:20 p.m.
Jackson soon became unresponsive.
TMZ is also reporting that the doctor who lived at Michael Jackson's home is missing.
A law enforcement source also says the same doctor gave Jackson
an injection before he died.
Los Angeles officials have ordered an immediate autopsy for
Jackson, who died suddenly at 50 on Thursday afternoon.
The 50-year-old musical superstar died Thursday, just as he was preparing for what would be a series of 50 concerts starting July 13 at London's famed 02 arena. Jackson had been spending hours and hours toiling with a team of dancers for a performance he and his fans hoped would restore his tarnished legacy to its proper place in pop.
An autopsy was planned for Friday, though results were not likely to be final until toxicology tests could be completed, a process that takes several days and sometimes weeks. Police said they were investigating, standard procedure in high-profile cases.
Jackson died at UCLA Medical Center after being stricken at his rented home in the posh Los Angeles neighborhood of Holmby Hills. Paramedics tried to resuscitate him at his home for nearly three-quarters of an hour, then rushed him to the hospital, where doctors continued to work on him.
"It is believed he suffered cardiac arrest in his home. However, the cause of his death is unknown until results of the autopsy are known," his brother Jermaine said.
